The Byzantine Empire proved fertile territory for my favorite designer Elie Saab. There was alot of lace, silk jacquards that looked gold leafed, and a mosaic-print georgette. He used such soft shades of pink and blue. .
He opened with a caftan shape in embroidered black tulle. The silhouettes were truly amazing, he never upsets with his silhouettes. His talents don't lie as much in patternmaking and perfect cuts. Elie Saab is such a legend and always delivers amazing gowns. I know I will see many actresses on the red carpet soon with one of his gowns.
