Meet French-Senegalese Photographer, Delphine Diaw Diallo. A graduate from Academie Charpentier School of Visual Art in Paris in 1999. She discovered extended family in Senegal and began portraying photos of them. She added collages, and drawings to her photographs, to underline the emotions of her subjects. She moved to NYC in 2008 and wanted to better her artistic life. Delphine captures the powerful emotion of people and mixing mediums. She wants to live out of society's standard beauty and embraces all cultures around the world. She believes her art connects with spirits and hopes spirit will help detach humans from the material world. I'm blown away by her work and truly inspired by her art of photography.
