Queens, New York natives Q-Tip , Phife Dawg , and Ali Shaheed Muhammad of Brooklyn, formed ATCQ in 1985. Jarobi, the honorary member of ATCQ, though not always heard, was a fixture of the group in heart and in friendship. I remember listening to Tribe hearing the album the The Low End Theory when I was 14. My dad introduced me and told me everything about the group. I always say man I was born in the right time in 1993. My uncles always told me to study and listen to different genres of music and understand the meaning of rhymes, beats and words. Tribe Called Quest is the movement they are the what some of my favorite artist today wanted to be like. Always original and always true. Still very relevant till this day because they are so real. VH1 recently played the Beats, Rhymes, & Life Documentary which is one of my fave documentaries. LEGENDARY.
Always learning and listening to Tribe everyday and forever. Without ATCQ there wouldn't be any of my favorite artists today. Salute to the best.
