Boston native Sonjia Williams became a clearly defined career aspiration by the time she enrolled in the Fashion Design program at Lasell College in Newton, Massachusetts. Armed with her degree and the dream of becoming an independent Fashion Designer, Sonjia relocated to New York, the fashion capital. It was shortly after her arrival where her dreams began transitioning into a reality.
Sonjia Williams was one of my favorite designers on Project Runway. She appeared on Season 10 and followed her own rhythm and knew what she was great at. Additionally, she launched her Something by Sonjia line which is doing remarkably well. The success of the line fueled Sonjia’s latest aspiration, which is to debut a fall collection for New York Fashion Week, 2016.
