Born and raised in New Orleans, Daye was not raised by the sounds of blues, jazz, and hip-hop that have long come to define the city. Daye arrives at his debut single “Roll Some Mo,” as a striking new voice in the world of R&B. He is signed to the RCA joint venture label Keep Cool.
“Roll Some Mo,” along with the additional four tracks in the first EP installment I has a warm and well-traveled feel. Lucky plays in a familiar soundstage, colorful and inviting, but his vocals have a “rap-talk” cadence that elevates him beyond the basic moniker of R&B singer. The emotions that Lucky Daye breathes into existence signals a new and shining voice in the world of R&B, and it is our lucky day to have experienced it. II his second EP installement just tells the story more with "Karma"it is evident that there is something addicting about Daye, and I cannot get enough. His debut album shall be out later this year. I'm loving everything and ready for more.
